Core Schamanism
Core Shamanism for Greater Vitality and Balance
What Is Shamanism? The Oldest Wisdom Tradition of Humanity
Shamanism is one of the oldest transmitted wisdom traditions of humanity and has been practiced for thousands of years in cultures across all continents. This ancient art is concerned with the knowledge of the invisible and supportive forces of the universe and still offers powerful methods today—independent of faith or religion—to bring harmony, transformation, and inner balance into our lives.
DShamanic work activates the deep inner wisdom that we all carry within us. It reminds us that we are part of a greater whole and that everything is interconnected.
The Fundamental Principles of Shamanic Work
Everything Is Connected – The Unity of All Being
Shamanic teachings are based on the understanding that everything is interconnected. We are not separate from nature, from other people, or from the universe—we are part of a great, living whole.
From a shamanic perspective, the feeling of separation from oneself and from one’s environment is considered the main cause of loss of power and crisis. When we lose connection to our soul, our life force, or our surroundings, imbalances arise that may manifest physically, emotionally, or energetically.
Non-Ordinary Reality – Access to Supportive Forces
Shamanic practitioners expand their state of consciousness through rhythmic trance and drumming and enter non-ordinary reality—a level beyond our visible, material world. There, they access power animals, spiritual helpers, ancestral wisdom, and supportive energies.
In this expanded state of awareness, information can be received, lost soul parts can be retrieved, and strengthening forces can be transmitted.
Benefits of Shamanic Work
- Restoration of vitality and life force
- Support for emotional and psychological wounds
- Release of energetic blockages and burdens
- Activation of self-healing abilities
- Reconnection with one’s inner strength
- Guidance through trauma, loss, and life crises
- Strengthening the connection to oneself and nature
- Harmonization of body, mind, and soul
Core Shamanism – Overview of Shamanic Methods
In Core Shamanism, I work with various powerful methods that are individually tailored to your specific concern. I always listen to the guidance and instructions of spiritual helpers from non-ordinary reality. Often, different forms of work are combined.
1. Power Animal Retrieval – Finding Your Spiritual Companion
From a shamanic perspective, every living being has a power animal—a helpful, energetic, and spiritual force in animal form from non-ordinary reality. In the modern world, however, we are often unaware of this connection.
What Is a Power Animal?
A power animal is far more than a symbolic companion. It is a living spiritual force that offers valuable qualities and abilities such as:
- Harmony and inner peace
- Vitality and joy for life
- Forgiveness and compassion
- Patience and endurance
- Calmness and serenity
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Spontaneity and aliveness
- Lightness and playfulness
- Creativity and inspiration
- Wisdom and intuition
- Primal strength and assertiveness
These qualities strengthen the soul and life force and help restore emotional and physical balance.
When Can a Power Animal Retrieval Help?
Power animals are reliable and strong companions during challenging phases of life:
- Loneliness and isolation
- Fear and insecurity
- Stress and overwhelm
- After major loss or separation
- Serious illness
- One’s own dying process
- Emotionally difficult times
- Important decisions and transitions
Through a power animal retrieval, the connection to this spiritual helper is restored or consciously established for the first time. From that moment on, your power animal stands by your side as a source of strength, guidance, and support.
2. Soul Retrieval – Restoring Lost Life Force
Soul retrieval is one of the most powerful shamanic methods. In shamanism, it is believed that parts of the soul split off during traumatic experiences in order to better endure emotional overwhelm.
What Is Soul Loss?
Soul loss is a natural protective mechanism of the psyche. When an experience becomes overwhelming, a part of the soul separates and carries the trauma away—so that we can continue functioning.
Possible triggers include:
- Separation or death of a loved one
- Accidents and life-threatening situations
- Abuse and violence
- Severe, prolonged stress
- Loneliness and emotional neglect
- Major surgeries or illnesses
- Conflict and combat situations
Symptoms of Soul Loss
While this mechanism protects us, it also results in a loss of valuable life energy, weakening our vitality. Possible signs include:
- Chronic fatigue and lack of motivation
- Feeling “not fully present”
- Emotional numbness or emptiness
- Difficulty experiencing joy
- Memory gaps
- Dissociation
- Recurring depression
- Psychosomatic symptoms
- Addictive behavior as compensation
How Does Soul Retrieval Work?
During a shamanic journey, I enter non-ordinary reality to locate the lost soul parts. With the support of spiritual helpers, these parts are lovingly brought back and reintegrated into the core of the soul.
As the soul parts return, life force is strengthened, and relief or transformation can occur. Many people report feeling a renewed sense of wholeness, vitality, and deeper self-connection after a soul retrieval.
3. Chakra Clearing and Extractions – Energetic Cleansing
In this method, parasitic, old, or dense energies that drain vital life force are removed.
What Is Cleared?
- Energetic residues and stagnation
- Old, stagnant energies from past trauma
- Foreign energies that do not belong to you
- Curses or burdensome vows
- Energetic attachments from difficult relationshipsE
By removing disruptive and burdensome energies, harmony is restored. The chakras (energy centers of the body) are cleansed and can flow freely again. This may lead to greater vitality, clarity, and inner balance.
4. Psychopomp Work – Guiding Souls Into the Light
One important role of shamanic practitioners is accompanying deceased individuals into the spirit world. Sometimes souls remain in our reality after death—these are referred to as earthbound souls.
Why Do Souls Remain Earthbound?
Possible reasons include:
- Strong emotional attachment to loved ones
- Feeling that something remains unfinished
- Sudden or unexpected death (accident or violence)
- Unawareness of having died
- Fear of transition
- Unresolved matters or guilt
How Does Psychopomp Work Function?
As a shamanic practitioner, I support both the deceased and the living in letting go of one another. I guide the soul of the departed to the ancestors—to a more peaceful place where rest is possible.
This work often brings deep relief to both sides. The living can release and make peace with the loss, while the soul of the deceased can continue its journey.
Structure of a Shamanic Session
A shamanic session begins with an in-depth consultation in which you describe your concern. Together, we determine which method—or combination of methods—is most appropriate.
During the shamanic journey, you lie or sit in a relaxed position while I enter an expanded state of consciousness through drumming. After the journey, I share what I have experienced and brought back.
The integration of the work often continues for days or weeks after the session. I provide recommendations and exercises to support your process.
Duration: approx. 1.5 hours
Energy exchange: €90 incl. VAT

“Shamans look at the spiritual aspect of an illness. A disease may manifest emotionally or physically, but the shaman looks for the spiritual imbalance or disharmony.”
